Kick Off Conference, Pecs
The second Partner Meeting of CREATIVE CITIES project was held within the public Opening Conference on 28 & 29 June 2010 in Pécs, Hungary.
Participants had opportunity to discuss the Green Paper titled „Unlocking the potential of cultural and creative industries” with Mr. Atilla Zongor – member of Team Europe Hungary and listen to the speech of Mr. Tamás Síkfői, President of the South-Transdanubian Cultural Industry Cluster on the state of the Creative Industries in the South Transdanubian Region.
Moreover, the conference attendees took a deeper look into one of the creative industry sector - Film and soundtrack industry during the Panel Discussion with János Keresnyei, President of the Cultural Innovation Competency Centre Association and they learned about the creative industries from a researcher’s perspective.
There was also possibility to discover creative industry in project partners’ cities through „Poster Exhibition” and speak directly with the different creative protagonists from partner cities about their creative work. One of the project partner - City of Pécs talked about Creative Industries with regards to the European initiative - Pécs as the European Capital of Culture 2010.
The second day brought many occasions to take part actively in various workshops
