Genoa is pleased to announce that we have opened a new Website GenovaCreativa – a virtual Contact Point for artists, professionals and all those who work in the creative fields. It is promoted by the Municipality of Genoa within the “Creative Cities” project.

 

The portal gives space and visibility, as well as possibility to interact and create a community dedicated to the culture and creativity. Moreover, it was created to collect information on creative works and it will become a virtual marketplace, a database dedicated to creative spaces in Liguria that anyone can freely consult. Following the main aim of the “Creative Cities” project, this portal also aims to establish network of creative people.

 

GenovaCreativa is going to be an up to date archive with all the creative activities of the Ligurian territory. The Website has two sections: for young artists and for professionals.

 

For young people (aged 18-35 years) who have professional goals, GenovaCreativa is undoubtedly an occasion to enhance their visibility: Everyone has the ability to upload their artworks online (text, images, videos, music files etc.) and update them constantly. Anyone may also seek information about other artists or cultural enterprises.

 

The portal, therefore, is proposed not only for artists. It invites to subscribe also those who carry out their businesses, cultural organizations, schools, institutions. They might offer their services and search young artists to work with.

The contents are organized into four areas: Young Artists Database, Database for Operators, Information area and Bulletin Board area.

 

The Young Artists Database allows the subscription at the local level to the Association Circuit of Young Italian Artists (GAI) of all artists and groups under 35 years living in Liguria.

 

The Database for Operators includes professionals, who provide services for art and culture, institutions, associations operating in the Genoa area.

 

The  Information area contains news, information on art competitions (national/international) and events, information on projects and initiatives related to youth creativity. Everyone may find also materials with themes related to the creativity and helpful links. Events section is dedicated to cultural events and current exhibitions in Genoa. And finally, in the Scenarios section is place where studies, researches and interesting articles about the creative industry are collected.

 

The  Area Bulletin Board offers the opportunity to publish FIND and OFFER announcements, insert proposals for collaboration, research partners etc. This space is dedicated to the creation of a community, the emergence of direct relationships between artists and young artists or companies.

 The information contained in databases, the Bulletin Board  and events are updated directly by the subscribers.
