Creative Cities Workshop. The protection of intellectual property and the free flow of information.

At the request of many participants in the working groups of the Creative Cities project cluster
on Saturday, July 16 in Palazzo Tursi - Sala Giunta Nuova - Via Garibaldi – Genoa, was organised workshop titled “The protection of intellectual property and the free flow of information”.
The workshop aimed to answer some questions as:
- How to protect intellectual property while encouraging the free flow of information?
- What is copyright, copyleft or creative commons and which are the law regulations in this matter?
Following speakers were present:
• Giovanni Battista Gallus - Expert in Computer Law and Internet Law, protection of personal data and privacy and legal profiles of the free / open source software
• Francesco Micozzi – Expert in Law and New Technologies of Information, Privacy and Copyright
• Alessandro Buttons - Blogger and expert on open source
