“Creative Cities” will participate in the Central Europe Annual Event and the second cross-fertilization workshop on 23 – 24 November in Prague.

30.09.2010

This year “Creative Cities” is invited to the Central Europe Programme´s annual event, held on 23-24 November 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic.

This two-day-event will consist of mixture of political and thematic discussions, workshops, as well as an exhibition area and a study tour highlighting the current and future benefits of transnational cooperation in Central Europe. A short movie and discussion between two artists about the “Centre of Europe” will be presented within the morning session of first day. Moreover, high level panellists have been invited to discuss the future outlook of regional cooperation especially in the view of the “Europe 20-20” Strategy.

In the afternoon session two thematic topics of the Central Europe Programme will be highlighted:
- “Accessibility” primarily focused on TEN-T revision;
- “Demographic and social change” primarily focused on current challenges to be solved and measures already taken in this respect.

The first day will bring many moments for networking. There will be also the exhibition area for each project. “Creative Cities” will have own stand where we will be able to present ourselves.
The second day foresees a study tour and an internal Cross-fertilisation workshop.
The cross-fertilisation workshop will give all the projects opportunity to meet and exchange experiences and ideas. It should be pointed out that this internal meeting is referred to the idea to create a platform which will offer networking opportunities and a possibility to exchange experiences with different projects running under the same Programme´s priority and beyond. It is believed that in this way many synergies will be generated and it will give an additional boost to transnational co-operation. The first step towards this objective was made in December last year, with the organization of a cross-fertilization workshop during the CE Annual Event in Verona. “Creative Cities” was participating in this event and now its representatives will take part in the second workshop on 24 November in Prague within the framework of the Annual Event.
